Consultancy Services

Guy Consterdine Associates is a consultancy which specialises in media research, and has an international perspective. Activities include:

  • Design, management and conduct of projects
  • Interpretation and use of all types of media research and related data
  • Training on using research to make the case for advertising in print media
  • Audits and appraisals of surveys

The main focus of the business is on print media, including consumer magazines, business-to-business magazines, and newspapers. In recent years there has been a significant involvement in wider forms of publishing information, especially the internet and other digital media, as publishers increasingly see themselves as information providers across multiple channels.

The consultancy’s recent clients have included:

  • publishing houses in a number of countries
  • national and international publishers’ associations
  • research companies
  • national readership survey organisations in several parts of the world

As Research Consultant to FIPP (the International Federation of the Periodical Press), Guy Consterdine’s responsibilities include editing the Research section of FIPP’s website at www.fipp.com. He also moderates FIPP's electronic discussion group for magazine researchers, created in March 2008; for more details see the item in the 'Articles & Papers' section of this website.

Most of the consultancy’s work is for private confidential use, but some reports are prepared for wider publication. A selection of such reports, and some other articles and papers, are described elsewhere on this site.
